KEEP LIFE SIMPLE
Wednesday, November 21, 2007

Hi! My first post! Isn't it historic? Ok let's stop the bullshit (Actually I don't need to, cause I'm the only one reading it) Firstly.. EPL stands for English Premier League! England's first division soccer league! (Singapore's S-League is worst than England's non-league teams)

Here are this weekend's fixtures!

Newcastle United v Liverpool (St James Park) Magpies v Reds
Arsenal v Wigan Athletic (Emirates Stadium) Gunners v Latics
Birmingham City v Portsmouth (St Andrews) Brums v Pompey
Bolton Wanderers v Manchester United (Reebok Stadium) Trotters v Red Devils
Everton v Sunderland (Goodison Park) Toffees v Black Cats
Manchester City v Reading (City of Manchester Stadium) Citizens v Royals
Middlesbrough v Aston Villa (Riverside Stadium) Boro v Villa
Derby County v Chelsea (Pride Park) Rams v Blues
West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur (Upton Park) Hammers v Spurs DERBY MATCH!
Fulham v Blackburn Rovers (Craven Cottage) Cottagers v Rovers

*Derby matches mean that 2 teams from the same city (Eg. London) play each other!
**Fixtures listed according to kick-off timings

READY FOR MY RUBBISH, AND MOSTLY INACCURATE PREDICTIONS? (Results will be posted asap)
LEGEND:(HOME)X:X(AWAY). X:X IS THE PREDICTION! (:
(MP=My Prediction :x)

Newcastle United 1:1 Liverpool
England striker Owen is injured and will be missing for the Magpies, while Liverpool have been lacklustre in the EPL both home and away since their early season blaze. A score-draw awaits

Arsenal 3:0 Wigan Athletic
The Gunners are too good for the struggling Latics. A thrashing awaits Wigan, who will try to concede as few goals as possible. New manager Steve Bruce may have had too little time to understand his side, due to the international break.

Birmingham City 1:3 Portsmouth
Birmingham are in chaos, with manager Steve Bruce having gone to Wigan, and talks of a takeover still looming. They do not have a manager yet, and Pompey have been in great form this season, thrashing Newcastle 4-1 in their last away fixture. Birmingham look set to continue their winless streak.

Bolton Wanderers 1:3 Manchester United
The Trotters have been much more resilient under new manager Gary Megson, reverting slightly back to their old physical style under "Big Sam". However, the Red Devils are in brilliant form, and are too good for Bolton to get a point out of the game.

Everton 2:0 Sunderland
Everton are on a winning run, compared to the Black Cats, who are winless in 7 games. Sunderland look unlikely to get anything out of the match, and manager Roy Keane will most likely opt for a defensive line-up to frustrate the Toffees.

Manchester City 2:1 Reading
City have a 100% win record at home while the Royals have had a torrid time on their travels. Reading will put up a fight, but City eventually will preserve their 100% record on home soil.

Middlesbrough 1:2 Aston Villa
Boro have been unable to win their recent games and are getting sucked into the relegation battle. Villa meanwhile will be full of confidence following their win in the Birmingham derby, and look set to claim Boro's scalp this weekend.

Derby County 0:3 Chelsea
Bottom-of-the-table side Derby lost their last home game 0-5 against West Ham and manager Billy Davies will be looking to shore up his defence during training. Still, the Rams are in for a thrashing against the Blues, and look set to remain in the relegation zone for a long time yet.

West Ham United 2:2 Tottenham Hotspur
In last season's corresponding fixture, the match thrillingly ended 3-4, Spurs scoring the winner in injury time. Both sides recorded big wins in their last match, West Ham ramming 5 past Derby while Spurs crushed Wigan 4-0 at White Hart Lane. With both side's attacking options in top form, a highscoring draw awaits.

Fulham 2:2 Blackburn Rovers
Fulham are poor on their travels, but are a resilient side at home and are difficult to beat. Not because of their defence, but because of their attack. In-form Blackburn will look to forget last weekend's 0-2 reverse at Old Trafford with a victory in London, but a score-draw looks more likely.

I'm done with my garbage! Now lets see how accurate I am!
My own points system is shown below:
Correct result (Win for the correct team/draw):3 points
Correct scoreline:Bonus 1 point
Wrong result:0 points duh

Let's see how many points I can get! sh0 farnniiex!
