This weekend's fixtures include a crucial match that could decide the fate of two title-challengers. It is none other than this fiery encounter, Manchester United against Arsenal. Scuffles have broke out on the pitch before, there is plenty of controversy and passion, opposing players have pelted each other with pizza, and in the backdrop three points are up for grabs.

MATCH OF THE WEEK:
MANCHESTER UNITED 3 ARSENAL 1 @ Old Trafford
Head-to-head this season-
Arsenal 2 Manchester United 2 (BPL)
Manchester United 4 Arsenal 0 (FA Cup)
Manchester United and Arsenal head into this crucial clash knowing that defeat or even a draw would dent their title hopes. A defeat for hosts United, coupled with victory for Chelsea over Wigan, would see the Red Devils' lead at the top of the league table cut to just goal difference. A defeat for visitors Arsenal would see the Gunners trail Manchester United by 9 points with just four games to go, effectively ending their title hopes. With such high stakes, none can afford to make any mistake. The fitness level of the players also come into play here. Manchester United had the luxury of resting Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney in midweek, and yet still achieve victory over AS Roma. On the contrary, many of Arsenal's key players played out their entire Champions League exit at the hands of Liverpool, while influential midfielder Mathieu Flamini picked up an injury which means that he will miss this match. Expect a cracking atmosphere, and a cracking match.

BIRMINGHAM CITY 1 EVERTON 1 @ St Andrews
Birmingham have good form at home. Everton have struggled recently to score goals; Birmingham could pick up crucial points here.

BOLTON WANDERERS 1 WEST HAM UNITED 2 @ Reebok Stadium
Disastrous Bolton are well on course to drop to the Championship next season. Expect them to be mercilessly beaten by West Ham.

DERBY COUNTY 0 ASTON VILLA 2 @ Pride Park
Villa have rediscovered their form following a 4-0 thrashing of Bolton. The slaughter of the lambs, Rams*, begins.

READING 2 FULHAM 1 @ Madejski Stadium
Fulham are disastrous on the road, while Reading have decent home form. The Royals to edge this to secure safety from relegation.

SUNDERLAND 2 MANCHESTER CITY 0 @ Stadium of Light
Sunderland have excellent home form while City are anonymous away from home. City are set to be embarassed further.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 3 MIDDLESBROUGH 2 @ White Hart Lane
Spurs continue suffering from their League Cup triumph hangover. They shall re-ignite their form against Boro, who are poor on their travels. A goalfeast awaits at the Lane, and the fans shall be singing.

PORTSMOUTH 2 NEWCASTLE UNITED 3 @ Fratton Park
Portsmouth's recent fairytale-like form is set to come to a bruising end, against a strong-looking Magpies side. All three of their strikers are in-form and Portsmouth's defenders shall be taught a footballing lesson.

LIVERPOOL 3 BLACKBURN ROVERS 1 @ Anfield
Blackburn have improved recently, but Anfield is too hot to handle for them. Liverpool to sweep their smaller opponents.

CHELSEA 2 WIGAN ATHLETIC 1 @ Stamford Bridge
Chelsea are hot on the heels of Man United and can't afford to slip up here. Slip up and Grant's head shall roll. Will he allow that to happen? No.

Midweek
EVERTON 1 CHELSEA 1 @ Goodison Park
Just three days after a bruising affair with Wigan, Chelsea have to contemplate a difficult trip to Goodison Park. Any team will always drop points now and then. This is that time for Chelsea.

Good luck to me, good luck to Man U, send the pathetic Gunners out of the race!
